Screws

Screws are versatile and are a widely used fastener due to their ease of installation. The screws consist of a cylindrical shaft with ridges called threads, a head, and a pointed tip.  There are various types of screws available, typically used in conjunction with nuts and washers, or tapped holes to create secure and adjustable connections.

Each type has distinct characteristics such as thread design, head shape and material, to suit differing installation requirements.

The head types differ to accommodate various tools and applications. Common head types include pan, hex, slotted, pozi, phillips, round and countersunk (CSK).  The most common material finishes are zinc and stainless.
