Rivets

Rivets are mechanical fasteners that are used to join two or more materials together permanently. They consist of a smooth, cylindrical shaft with a head on one end and a tail on the other. Rivets are commonly made of metals such as steel, aluminium or stainless steel.

Rivets are known for their strength and reliability. They are well suited for applications where a permanent joint is required and are commonly used in industries such as construction, automotive, engineering, aerospace and manufacturing.

Rivets come in various sizes, we stock them in Metric threads. The diameter is expressed in mm and the length of the rivet is measured from the underside of the head to the end of the shank.

The grip refers to the thickness of the materials being joined by the rivet. It is the total thickness that the rivet is designed to secure. To select the correct grip for a rivet you need to measure the combined thickness of the materials that will be fastened together.
