BSF Bolts

BSF Bolts (British Standard Fine) are a type of threaded fastener commonly used in various applications, including automotive, machinery, and engineering. They follow the British Standard Fine thread form, which is a fine-pitch thread system.

BSF bolts have a fine thread pitch, meaning the distance between each thread is relatively small compared to other thread forms. The thread angle is 55 degrees, and the thread profile is rounded.  BSF bolts come in various sizes, ranging from smaller diameters like 1/4 inch up to larger sizes like 1 inch or more. The thread size is denoted by the nominal diameter of the bolt.

BSF bolts are designed to provide high tensile strength and load-bearing capabilities and are commonly used in older machinery and vehicles, especially those manufactured in the United Kingdom or countries following British standards.

We stock part thread and full thread bolts (often referred to as a setscrew). Finishes include zinc plated and unplated self colour. The bolts are high tensile Grade R. Diameter options include 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 9/16", 7/8", 1", 1 1/4",
