What is a socket set screw?
As you can see in the picture, a socket set screw is a headless screw. They are used in blind threaded holes and are most commonly secured with a hex socket insert that can be tightened and loosened with an Allen key. Usually, these fasteners are manufactured from alloy steel, we also stock them in Stainless Steel. Our stock sizes of Whitworth/WHIT/BSW socket set screws range from 3/16″ x 3/16″ through to 7/8″ x 2″.
